Bottlecap magnets........

These are fun!! and so easy!!
Items you need:
  • bottlecaps (I bought mine off of ebay..100 for 10 bucks!)
  • diamond glaze
  • scrapbooking paper (make sure it has small print)
  • 1 inch circle hole punch
  • glue stick
  • magnets
  • E-600 glue
First you need to cut your paper... use your 1 inch paper punch to make perfect circles! You can use scrapbook paper, newspaper, magazines, printed pictures (laser printer only) ..use your imagination!

Then you will glue the paper to the inside of the bottle cap. Use your glue stick and make sure it is sealed flat. If it is not flat you will get air bubbles later when you add the diamond glaze.

Now glue on your magnets to the back. You need to use the E-6000 glue! Use nice solid magnets that will hold your stuff to the magnet board.

At this point you can add embellishments if you like..You can add beads, buttons glitter ect.
Lastly you will fill your bottle caps with the diamond glaze and let dry overnight. I took a picture of it because its hard to find!! One tip: do not shake your bottle of diamond glaze! It will get air bubbles!! Sometimes you will get a few anyway..just pull them out with a tooth pick.

Now you have these cute, personalized and wonderful magnets!! SO easy to make!!

Very Hungry & Cute Caterpillar!!..............

Okay well I bought this fabric 2 or 3 years ago?? yes..it was that long ago.. and it has sat in my cabinet for that long!! I loved it and bought it... SO what I bought was the 2 strips of foods the Caterpillar ate..(The fruits and the junk food), and the polka dot fabric that matches the inside of the book.. The rest of this quilt is all appliqued! The fat Caterpillar, the cocoon, the sun and moon, leaves all of it!! I used fabric I had that I thought would work well for the pictures I wanted... Then I bordered the whole thing with daisy fabric that I really liked as well (and bought years ago waiting for the right project!) This quilt is for Miss Madi....and she is in-patiently waiting for me to finish it!!

little sister...

well my sister is having her second kiddo...and its a girl!! she has a boy so how fun to have a girl!!! she wanted a bright pink with black and white and since she had to ask me................. I made two...
because of my guilt that she even had to ask...
sheesh I should have just made one.... so rude of me..so hoping she will forgive me by buttering her up with not 1, but 2 fun baby quilts!!! Both backed with super soft white.....

Scrabble anyone???

well I made this for fun...I first started by finding the wood grain fabric which I ended up getting from ebay.. not cheap.. but it was perfect so..... Then I went through a few different alphabet sets to find the right size and font for the letters! Finally finding the right ones I got to stamping..I made my board on the computer..a replica of a real scrabble board, then added our words..The kids helped me decide what to put on the quilt...what words represented our family:) I made all of the tiles..then they sat on my desk for months.......Until I picked them up and started putting them together...Now its all hung up at the end of our stairs.. but I think its too long...I am thinking of chopping the top off and just having the "board" be the quilt... Hain says to leave it and since he is the only one who can reach it, it may be there for a while:)

Craigs Quilt...and a mini Madi one!

the pattern for this was just rectangles..but Craig really wanted a guitar in the middle so we figured it out and he designed the guitar..I did all the sewing and he did a lot of the ironing! I was able to quilt it in washington on my grandmas long arm machine! The fabric is all reds, blacks, whites and tans.... with a musical them (music notes, piano keys and guitars!)

I got my grandma a cute quilting book that had lots of fun projects with the theme "birds"...This project was done in red, blues and whites, but I though it would be great in 30's reprint fabrics to match Madi's bed quilt...I was right!!My grandma and I made this! I did the sewing and she did the quilting..I hand stitched the binding on while I was on the plane ride home! I love it!
