New Projects....

I have been working on a lot and been super busy...SO....I am finally blogging about it..

This quilt is I think my favorite I have ever done... I love tiny flower prints and have been collecting yards of it for a few years now..If I like one I cant live without Ill buy a yard and put it in the pile..Well I saw this pattern that was only dark blue and white and thought I would use my tiny prints with the white contrast..I LOVE it!!

Its very dainty and pretty...soft and sweet..and with the curved edges,

Im in love!!

These are all of my Batik fabrics I bought while in Alaska this summer..I cant wait to get started on my Alaska quilt (although Ill have to wait!)

 Eagles and whales...

This was a bunch of fabric in  a box with the pattern...My grandma has a bunch of these "boxes" with different projects she plans on getting to eventually..well when I was up there this summer I asked if I could take a few boxes and I would make the quilt top and send them back for her to quilt..So I just finished this one and will mail it back in a few weeks..I was happy to get it done for her..I can sew pretty quick so it was fine, and it was a fun pattern:)  This is actually the patter I am teaching for the quilt class...

These squares are from another "box" from my grandma..The fabric is really cute and has small animals on the blocks..These log cabin blocks I just made tonight with my 10 year old go in the quilt as well... Just started on this project and should be a fun one to do!!

This quilt used to be a large quilt with the minty green as the whole background..I got it at a yard sale for...$2.50..Yes, two dollars and fifty cents!! The batting was all matted and bunched up, but I loved the stars..so I cut it all up!! I cut the squares out and added my own sashing..Then a border and quilted it and I love it too. I put minky on the back to make it super cozy...
